As most of you were aware, I’ve been playing for the Sandringham Sabres in the SEABL. Over the past weekend, we played four games in five days. During that time, my coach realized that we were missing something in the shooting guard spot. In the SEABL, each team can have up to two imports at a time. The other American and I fill the forwards spots. Coach needed to make a change. Due to being out of the game for well over three and a half years and still developing my skills back, I was the odd man out! I’m obviously disappointed, but totally understand…

I would like to publically thank the Sandringham organization for the opportunity to try and make a living out of this. It was a great few months and in it, I created some friends for life! All the best this year, and go Sabres!

I truly believe this is God’s plan for me to “hang them up” and retire from all professional sports. I lived a crazy athletic life in which I am both happy and proud of. I was truly blessed with both coaches and teammates that have helped shape and mold me into the man I am today! I understand I will always have that warrior competitive spirit in me, but I am at peace with my final decision…

So what now? This is where the fun begins! I’m 6 months off from becoming a certified life coach from the International Coaching Academy. I am very excited to become a life coach, where I can help others manifest their joy and challenge them to get the best out of themselves! Also, I will do inspirational speaking; talking about my journey and what it takes to fulfil a goal when no one believes you can achieve it…

In the short term, I’d like to announce that I signed with a publisher to write my first book, in a tell all. The book will entail my journey into the AFL with all the bumps and hurdles it presented. It will also open up debatable topics that have moral lessons to them, in which I experienced and saw over my time. I have no doubts this book will inspire, inform and teach valuable lessons. I cannot wait till it comes out in August!
